Here’s the pattern: One place overconsumes; another place ends up with a whole lot of hard-to-reuse items.
Plastics are a big one. Textiles are another.

Here’s an alternative: We get in the habit of looking around for what we need instead of immediately buying it online.
We recreate what we want from what we have on hand. People have been doing that for literally millennia.

At the very least, we should keep our stuff where we use it and not make it somebody else’s problem.
We have enough stuff. Let’s figure out what to do with it.
